Some folks have a difficult time finding stainless steel hardware so we now carry the essential parts necessary to build the wind turbines in Hugh Piggotts plans and in our own variation of that. You need to use stainless hardware around the stator where the hardware is stationary near spinning magnets. We use it throughout the whole machine. If you just want to buy enough to support the stator then one stick of this should be plenty and you can save a bit of money and get normal galvanized hardware for the rest of the machine. If you want to use this for the whole machine youd need 3 or 4 sticks.
Here you get a 36 inch long piece of stainless steel 1/2-13tpi threaded rod. This is the stuff we use to hold our wind turbines together.
