These are the same as our old experimental science books.
Great Books! Originally published in 1902 and written by George M. Hopkins, these were re-printed by Lindsay Press. One price gets you two beautiful hard cover volumes totalling over 1000 pages, and although we've not counted... there are probably over 1000 excellent pictures. These books address experimental science from the turn of the century. They explain in detail experiments to demonstrate pretty much all that was known about physics, electricity and magnetism at the time! Excellent for students, excellent for the hobbyist, these books are a \"must have\" for anybody teaching science. The table of contents includes topics such as: properties of bodies, rest motion and force, the gyroscope, falling bodies, inclined plane, the pendulum, molecular actions, liquids, gasses, sound, light, heat, microscopy, the telescope, photography, magnetism, electricity, telephone, wireless telography, and mechanical operations, just to name a few.
Most of the experiments in this book are of the most basic type; again, designed for the student, teacher, and hobbyist. We must say, this is the most fun reading we\'ve seen in a long time. It\'s well written and easy to read with lots of great pictures!
You just can\'t find things like this in bookstores today. Hard Cover.
