This product is for folks who want to build a wind turbine but dont care to (or cant) do all the metal cutting, welding etc. What you get here is the metal chassis with the furling tail boom all finished for you. Also included are two 12 inch magnet rotors, a wheel hub, bearings, and two steel blade hubs. So if you buy this, all you have left to do is build your magnet rotors, build your stator, and carve blades. Some of these parts you can buy finished.

You need to understand whats involved to build a wind turbine and whats involved in assembling a wind power system. If you dont have a grip on all that please dont order yet - do some reading! We have lots of free information at otherpower.com and we sell some excellent books. This kit is our variation of Hugh Piggotts design and its suitable for a 10 foot diameter blade set. (you could build it different ways to accomodate blades between 8 and 12 feet in diameter)
