Wind Power
Homebrew Wind Power by Dan Bartmann and Dan Fink
by Eric von Kleist Date Added: Thursday 16 June, 2011
I received the book quickly, and read it right away. It is a very useful book. The authors' are frank and honest in their evaluation of the utility of homemade turbines. They present the relevant electrical theory simply and clearly enough for the neophyte to understand the concepts, and they deliver enough detail that one could design a rural electric system custom tailored to his or her situation. The book displays very well the authors' hands-on, appropriate-tech approach to designing and constructing one's own personal wind generator. I commend the authors for their obvious personal commitment to energy conservation, appropriate-tech, and, living better with less.

This condensation of the authors' knowledge and experience is well worth the price of the book.
